SENIOR LAWYER
What will you be doing?
- Drafting and reviewing factoring, loan, leasing, and other financial product agreements with the Finora Bank Estonian branch’s clients. Consultations for the sales managers related to client agreements (customer projects).
- Coordinating pledges, mortgages, and other notarial transactions (power of attorneys, etc.) with notary offices and clients. Consultations for the sales managers related to notarial transactions.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts with service providers.
- Creating and implementing the process for preparing, approving, and signing documents and contracts for the Finora Bank’s Estonian branch.
- Advising bank management in debt collection processes, as well as in bankruptcy cases.
- Advising the management to ensure compliance of Finora Bank’s Estonian branch and other Finora Group companies with local laws, rules, regulations, and standards.
- Daily working on banking regulations to ensure compliance with current banking supervision requirements for Finora Bank’s Estonian branch (including AML). Keeping abreast of laws, regulations, and changes affecting the Estonian banking sector.
- Maintaining legal relations with regulatory authorities in Estonia and providing appropriate answers to institutional requests. Ensure proper and timely registration/deregistration of legal facts in state registers.
- Advising the management on various legal issues, including organizational management of Finora Bank’s Estonian branch and other Finora Group companies.
- Undertaking the responsibilities related to AML matters.
What will help you succeed?
- Previous experience of at least 3-5 years as a lawyer.
- An in-depth knowledge of financial products is essential (loans, factoring, leasing, mortgage and pledge transactions, etc.).
- Experience or knowledge in the field of anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism is essential.
- A master’s degree in law.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to work operationally with different tasks on several projects and with complex assignments.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent analytical skills, precision, systematic approach, and consistency.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written Estonian and English.
- Beneficial: Previous work experience in a credit institution, notary office, or law firm.
