What will you be doing?

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Deputy to Chief Risk Officer to support the CRO in maintaining and enhancing the Bank’s overall risk management framework, with a primary focus on credit risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the CRO in maintaining and continuously enhancing the Bank’s overall risk management framework, with a primary focus on credit risk, in line with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the development and review of the Risk Strategy, Risk Appetite Statement, and ICAAP/ILAAP processes, with particular emphasis on credit risk identification, measurement, and control, as well as monitoring compliance with approved risk limits
  • Provide independent second-line oversight of credit risk, including assessment of material exposures, monitoring of portfolio quality, concentrations and asset performance, and oversight of credit risk methodologies, rating models, and provisioning adequacy
  • Lead and enhance credit risk monitoring frameworks, including early warning indicators, risk segmentation, and portfolio analytics to support proactive risk management
  • Oversee the monitoring of financial risks (liquidity and interest rate risk) and assess their interaction with credit risk and impact on capital and liquidity, including participation in stress testing and capital planning processes
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive risk reporting, with a strong focus on credit risk metrics, portfolio developments, and key risk drivers, to senior management and supervisory authorities


What will help you succeed?

  • University degree in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in banking risk management, with strong and hands-on exposure to credit risk
  • Experience in ICAAP/ILAAP, capital adequacy assessment, or regulatory risk frameworks, particularly in relation to credit risk
  • Strong understanding of credit risk methodologies, including credit assessment, rating models, provisioning (IFRS 9), and portfolio monitoring
  • Knowledge of liquidity and interest rate risk management principles and their interaction with credit risk
  • Fluency in English language
