What will you be doing?

  • Assess customer credit risk to ensure alignment with the bank’s risk appetite and policies.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk opinions for management and credit committees.
  • Monitor credit portfolio quality, identify trends, and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Manage credit provisioning to maintain sufficient reserves for potential losses.
  • Track and report breaches of credit limits, recommending appropriate actions.
  • Develop and refine credit risk models to enhance creditworthiness evaluation.
  • Establish and monitor risk limits and key risk indicators (KRIs).
  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of credit risk data.
  • Provide risk reports and consult business units from a second-line-of-defence perspective.
  • Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and insights.
  • Advise client-facing teams on credit risks for key clients and sectors.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new risk team members.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the CRO or in line with internal policies.


What will help you succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in credit risk analysis, credit portfolio management, or a similar role in banking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of credit risk modelling and risk frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); knowledge of risk systems or data tools is an advantage.
