Notes

¹ Explanation for points 2 and 3
If a deposit is not repaid because the institution cannot meet its financial obligations, the insurance institution pays compensation. The maximum compensation per depositor in one institution is 100 000 EUR. All deposits in the same institution are added together.
Example: if you hold a savings account with 90 000 EUR and a current account with 20 000 EUR, the payout will be 100 000 EUR.

In certain cases (for example, money received from selling a residential property, inherited funds, life insurance payouts in case of death, compensations for fatal work accidents, or compensation for violent crimes received in the last 6 months), deposits may be insured above 100,000 EUR.
More information is available at www.iidraudimas.lt.

² Explanation for point 4
For joint accounts, each co-owner is covered up to 100,000 EUR.

³ Explanation for point 5
